La Villita (across from the Convention Center and adjacent to the River Walk), which means "little town," is a unique arts and crafts community. Twenty-six shops with working artisans, three restaurants, a Post Office and The Old San Antonio Exhibit (located in Bolivar Hall) which houses a small collection of art objects, artifacts and symbols relevant to the history of La Villita are located in this beautifully landscaped historic district. This colorful area provides leisurely shopping and dining in an era of the past.
